Almost every car on the road today has an air conditioning system. However, many of them no longer work or don’t work as efficiently as they did when they were new.

It will depend if you just want the air conditioning checked or if you need an air-con recharge as well.

If I don’t use my air conditioning much will it last longer?

Even if you don’t use your air conditioning, it’s worth letting it run for a while every few months to allow lubricant to pass through the system thereby preventing the compressor seals from drying out and cracking. The lubricant gas will last longer if you don’t use the air con system but some gas does inevitably leak out over time.
